I have always enjoyed climbing on top of my roof and enjoying the view there. I had often stayed up there from sunny 2pms to when the darkness along with the chills came creeping in. I was enchanted by the way the sun rests on trees and flowers in the afternoon.
Another part of me wanted to capture the feeling of staring at lights after it was dark and I also wanted to experiment with photographing at night.
By pure chance I discovered that if I turned my camera left and right slightly at a long shutter speed I could create a spiral feeling. It looked abstract, cool, and somewhat gave a feeling of looking through a blurry telescope (hence the name).
