Easter House was Fr. John Domin’s studio and residence in Beaverton, Oregon, where he also served as chaplain for Maryville Nursing Home, operated by the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon.
He filled his studio with art, collages, lanterns, banners, reading materials, and colorful furniture. Among the treasures of the space:
- A collage made from luggage tags collected during his travels to photograph churches in Europe, Asia, and Mexico
- A colorful collage depicting the resurrected Christ
- Posters by Sister Corita Kent and Henri Matisse
- An Irish hand-painted stained glass window (circa 1940s) depicting Jesus meeting His Mother
- Religious artworks by various artists including Del Lederle and Greta Bodenauer
- Window coverings made from plastic Easter egg containers and Marimekko bags
A video tour of Easter House was recorded and is available in the archive.
