I grew up eating mandarins.They were a family staple and have plagued the fruit bowls for years. I wanted to share the whimsical experience of eating the fruit through a cartoonish effect/drawing on it. My work is supposed to represent the pure nostalgia of eating certain fruits that many may have fond memories of. I enjoy mixed media projects (collages) because they allow me to add a childlike effect to my photographs, which many may relate to.
