Gleam and Glow
The concept of this piece was to capture both the feeling that came from watching one of my favorite movies as a kid, which was Tangled, and the scene in that movie where the lanterns release into the sky and their light reflects on the water. This was my inspiration with this piece, representing a time where things were much different from now, the beginning of my love for a good story. This piece is also a reminder of two things, that light can be found in the darkest of times, as well as that the light you put out into the world will be reflected in your own life.

My name is Liliko'i, I am a an avid lover of a good story and I encourage everyone around me to find a story they love, so in my art I try to convey a story that anyone can appreciate. My future plans are to attend University of Portland for Business to hopefully open my own bookstore to continue to spread stories.
