For me, getting older has meant leaving a lot of things behind as I grow as a person, but also just rediscovering things I loved when I was little in a different light. Sometimes I need to remind myself not to take myself so seriously all the time. For me, you can use your creative process to affect the lighting or scenery to create a mood or meaning. You can make objects look dark and shadowed or light and brighter to affect the mood of the piece. There are lots of ways to send messages through art.
