NATURE’S MIRROR (2025)

I created this piece to help people see
themselves as a part of nature instead of as
separate from it. The mirror is supposed to
mimic looking at your reflection in a lake.
When you see your reflection it is surrounded
by plant life which helps include the person
viewing the piece in the natural world. I believe
that if people saw themselves as part of the
natural world they would do more to protect
natural spaces.
About the Artist
Abby Wendroff is attending UC Santa Cruz next year. Abby will major in Engineering and plans to continue building a portfolio that combines engineering and nature in ceramic works of art.
