Canyon de Chilly is home to many well-preserved Anasazi ruins and is an insight into the present day life of the Navajo, who still inhabit and cultivate the valley floor.
The White House ruin is located in a cave below one of the most dramatically sheer cliff walls of the canyon.
The sheer red sandstone cliffs forming a maze of canyons lead into the main canyon. Canyon De Chelly is home to thousands of Ancestral Pueblo ruins and archaeological sites, dating as far back as 2500 BC.
