Resurrection Parish

Resurrection Parish, originally established as the Church of the Resurrection, began at a chapel at Marylhurst University under the leadership of Fr. John Domin, its first pastor. The parish later relocated to Tualatin, where the current church structure was built in 2002. The architectural design was created by Di Loreto Architecture, with Rev. William Moisant serving as pastor during the church’s construction.

The church features several significant religious artworks commissioned from iconographer Mary Katsilometes. The Annunciation, an 8′ x 10′ icon installed and blessed in 2012, depicts the announcement by Archangel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary of her role as Mother of God. The Resurrection, a large-scale work measuring 10′ x 12′ executed in egg tempera on gesso, was installed in 2011 and blessed the following year. The Holy Crucifixion, the most prominent piece measuring 8′ x 13′ and rendered in egg tempera on gesso, was installed in 2010 and received the blessing of Archbishop John Vlazny in March 2011.

The church includes a Daily Mass Chapel with glass windows overlooking the main altar, allowing views of the principal worship space. The tabernacle is housed within this chapel, providing a dedicated area for daily prayer and devotion.
