St. Charles Borromeo was constructed in 1933 by Swiss architect Fritz Metzger (1898–1973). The structure features a distinctive horseshoe-shaped design with a prominent bell and clock tower that rises above exterior statues adorning the façade.
The church’s interior showcases the same horseshoe configuration, with slender pillars supporting the ceiling and stained glass windows positioned around the upper perimeter. A raised altar allows the congregation clear views of liturgical celebrations, while abundant clerestory windows flood the space with natural light.
The altar serves as the focal point, adorned with a carved metal tabernacle and a Christ fresco positioned above. The interior also includes a carved pulpit, emphasizing the importance of the Word alongside the Eucharistic celebration.
