Emil Steffann, 1899-1968, is the architect of the Franciscan Church in Cologne, built prior to Vatican II. Bell tower and renovated church following damage from World War II.
The elevated altar is free standing and is surrounded on three sides by the worshiping community.
Hanging lights were added during the renovation; the stained glass windows were part of the church that remained after the bombing of World War II.
