Architect Otto Dreyer, 1897-1972. was a student of Karl Moser, who crafted churches of exceptional quality.
Clock and bell tower with cross on top soars several stories above the church and is ornately carved. Fr. John Domin is the photographer of all of the Swiss churches.
Work on the Swiss church was begun in 1940 but the clock and bell tower was not finished until 1952.
The altar is raised above the congration to encourage participation in the liturgy. Also pictured here is the supporting column, baldachino and hanging lights.
St. Joseph was a traditional rectangular building. Circular and clerestory windows provided ample natural light.
